Sandwich panels loaded into 40HQ container with wooden bracing for sea freight

Indonesia Industrial Factory — Rock Wool Roof Panel Supply Project

Indonesia Industrial Factory — Rock Wool Roof Panel Supply Project

When an Indonesian industrial developer needed a fire-rated roof envelope for a new factory, LIAOHE coordinated a factory-direct supply of PU-edge rock wool sandwich roof panels across 13×40HQ containers. The project combined A-grade fire performance with efficient container logistics and on-time production scheduling from LIAOHE’s Shandong facility.

Why PU-Edge Rock Wool Roof Panels?

The project specified a hybrid construction: a rock wool core for fire resistance and a PU edge seal for improved joint fit and packing stability. This combination is common in industrial roof projects across Southeast Asia, where local codes increasingly require non-combustible roof materials but contractors still value the installation speed of sandwich panel systems.

Key specification decisions included:

  • 50 mm thickness to balance roof load, thermal performance, and cost
  • 120 kg/m³ rock wool density for consistent compressive strength and dimensional stability
  • PVDF-coated facing for UV and corrosion resistance in a tropical climate
  • Custom panel lengths cut to the project’s roof-drawing schedule

Production and Quality Control

The order was produced on LIAOHE’s continuous rock wool roof panel line. Before production, the steel coils and rock wool cores were inspected for thickness, density, and coating conformity. During production, panel dimensions, adhesion, and edge geometry were checked at regular intervals.

Export Packing and Container Loading

With 13×40HQ containers required, packing efficiency and damage prevention were critical. LIAOHE prepared the panels in wrapped bundles with wooden bases, edge separators, and corner protection. Each container was loaded and braced in the factory yard before sealing.

This in-house loading coordination allowed the team to maximize usable container volume while protecting panel faces and edges during the sea voyage to Semarang.

Supply Scope

  • PU-edge rock wool sandwich roof panels
  • Custom panel lengths per roof-drawing schedule
  • Export packing with protective film and wooden bases
  • Container-loading coordination and bracing
  • CIF Semarang freight arrangement

Project Outcome

The panels were produced and shipped according to the agreed schedule. The factory-direct model allowed the buyer to track production progress, confirm packing methods, and align delivery with the site’s readiness window.

This project demonstrates LIAOHE’s capability to deliver large, fire-rated roof panel systems to Indonesian industrial clients with full export documentation and logistics support.

FAQ

What is a PU-edge rock wool panel?

It is a rock wool sandwich panel with polyurethane edge sealing, combining fire-resistant mineral wool with improved joint fit and packing stability.

Why use rock wool instead of PU for an industrial roof?

Rock wool provides non-combustible core performance, which is often required by fire codes for large industrial buildings.

How many containers were used for this project?

The Indonesia project required 13×40HQ containers to ship approximately 9,482 m² of roof panels.

Can LIAOHE supply similar panels to other Indonesian ports?

Yes. LIAOHE can quote CIF or FOB terms to major Indonesian ports including Jakarta, Surabaya, and Belawan.

What information is needed for a similar roof panel quote?

Panel type, thickness, steel specification, coating, length schedule, total quantity, and destination port are needed for an accurate quotation.
